For Jeffrey, he always fantasized that his home would have a Japanese maple tree & he vividly remembers the very first time he pulled up in front of the home & saw a maple tree out front, he knew it was a sign. He fell for the fireplace, handsome wood floors, & vintage blue & yellow bathroom. For Nathaniel, who created the magical gardens, he was very much inspired by the natural shapes of the landscape surrounding the property. The winding Peralta creek & the ubiquitous live coastal scrub oak that overhangs the backyard. With a love for English garden aesthetics he took two dried patches of lawn out front & transformed the outdoor spaces with inspiration from his mother, grandmother and neighbor Joyce.This home has much of its original detail & grace, perhaps because it has only had 3 owners over its 81 years.
